Nate Diaz scored a trifecta with his social media antics this week. He managed to diss Khabib Nurmagomedov, Dustin Poirier, and his ultimate nemesis Conor McGregor all in one fell swoop.
Diaz unleashed his fury on Twitter, reminding McGregor precisely who handed him his most recent losses, and declaring both Khabib and Dustin cowards for failing to face Diaz in the Octagon.
Diaz: Khabib and Poirier Afraid to Fight Him, Feuds with McGregor
“@TheNotoriousMMA Don’t forget Kabob was scared as hell of me and he beat your ass and finished you off And Don’t forget DP scared of me also but he beat your ass and finished you too.. you’re all pusssies”
But Diaz didn’t stop there, declaring himself “double triple champ” and going after McGregor’s questionable patriotism. ““That means I’m the double triple champ of this while shit. fuck all you pussies. Ps you jumped ship on your country bitch go home you got any friends,”
Nate Diaz’s feud with Conor McGregor is nothing new. The two have traded insults for years, dating back to a pair of fights in 2016. Nate Diaz handed McGregor his first UFC loss, while Conor defeated Diaz in the rematch only months later. Since then, Conor and Nate have repeatedly traded insults online, reminding fans that there remains unfinished business between the two.
This time around, it was McGregor fanning the flames, Tweeting at Diaz and hinting at a rematch. Conor posted a picture of the pair facing off, captioned “now add 30lbs of muscle on to me and say ding ding in a Dublin accent”.
“Bruh u can’t walk or fight right now why u talkin sh*t? we talk later, McGregor, unsurprisingly, quickly responded.
“Who can’t? Come thru and see you little skinny fool you be smacked up and rolled up you bum. Calis mine,” Nate took the opportunity to remind Conor that his leg is broken, as if McGregor had forgotten.
“Nah bitch u should’ve learned how to not break ur leg when I checked ur shit and u crutched outta the fight with me
And how u gonna fight me when u can’t run for your life this time wit ur broken ass you lost the last fight and ran for the hills just like kabob ur a p*ssy too”
Of course, Mcgregor wouldn’t take that lying down. Figuratively speaking.
“He fled the cage and I boxed his whole family around. And nobody finished me mate. I broke MY leg. No one or nothing else done anything to me. And anyway. Don’t worry bout them. I’m here in Cali months doing what I want. It’s 3 on the street now mate f*ck your little sport.”
There’s clearly no shortage of bad blood between McGregor and Diaz. Considering Conor’s waning fortunes in the Octagon of late, a money fight between the pair to seal the trilogy may well be McGregor’s best option.
