Prince Charles is hoping that he can patch things up with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which would allow him to see his granddaughter Lilibet.
Prince Charles Wants To Meet Prince Harry’s Daughter Lilibet
That is according to Royal expert Nick Bullen. Charles has been out of the fray following the couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey on CBS.
He had been outraged at the way in which the duo decided to air their concerns in front of the whole world rather than discussing things behind closed doors.
But given that a significant amount of time has passed since it all occurred, he is hoping that everyone can patch things up. In an interview with Us Weekly, Nick said: “I think Prince Charles really wants to meet his granddaughter.
“Prince Charles is incredibly sad about everything that’s gone on. So the family will want to meet each other.” One way in which Charles is hoping to do it is through the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee that is going to be coming up.
This is expected to go ahead in June 2022 and would mark the 70th year of Queen Elizabeth II in power. And what better way than if the whole family could unite to celebrate the Queen’s reign given that she has had to carry a lot of the burden following Prince Philip’s death.
Nick added: “They have to be seen supporting Queen Elizabeth II. It’s a great moment for everyone to be together. And everyone’s going to have to play nicely and behave well because it’s the Queen’s moment.”
The chances of a reconciliation are even more possible given that the Queen is looking forward to meeting the couple. If she manages to put out an olive branch, then the chances of Charles following, in the same way, are only going to increase.
The following comments confirmed as much: “As the queen has always said, Harry and Meghan are much-loved members of the family, and I think the queen rises above all of this petty bickering.”
There is still a long way to go before we see whether the Royals can patch things up. But with regards to timing, there could be no better opportunity for Charles to reach out.
