Rush has been one of ROH’s best wrestlers for a while, but wrestlers using ROH as a stepping stone to bigger and better things has been a trend through the years. If you look at the WWE roster, a lot of their current top wrestlers started in ROH. He is also the brother of Dragon Lee, another ROH wrestler.
It is also reported that Dragon Lee’s Contract may be expiring at a similar time. An extension was made at the start of the year so that both contracts start and finish at the same time. Making it likely that Rush may want to stay with his brother wherever he ends up.
What Rush had to say about his contract expiring
“My contract expires in January. So far, we have not talked about a contract renewal. I am very grateful to ROH. I am also a man of challenges and goals, and I’m open to listening to everyone.”
It seems like Rush is open to leaving ROH but is still happy with his time there. After this, though, it feels like Rush is looking for more opportunity’s outside of ROH.
Where could we see Rush next year?
If Rush is going to leave ROH to go anywhere, it feels like it’s going to either AEW or WWE. It’s possible that Impact is on the card but feels unlikely. WWE is a possible place, and it could be that we may see Rush and Dragon Lee appear at the Royal Rumble.
However, there is AEW and Andrade. With Andrade ones having a faction with Rush. We may see Rush go to AEW and form a new faction in AEW. If WWE is just hiring younger stars, Rush might go heading to AEW over WWE as Rush is now 33. There could be a lot on the cards for Rush and Dragon Lee in the future. It’s starting to look like January will be a very interesting month.
