That is according to Royal expert Angela Levin. This claim is based on the fact that the pair continue to have political influence despite leaving the Royal family.
This has recently been shown through the couple’s visit to New York’s World Trade Centre Observatory. It is here where they met Bill de Blasio (Mayor of New York) and Linda Thomas-Greenfiled (Us Ambassador for the United Nations).
Harry and Meghan are hoping that they can provide a modernised version of the Royals, while maintaining some form of political influence.
In an interview with ‘True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat,’ Angela said: “It is a woke alternative to the proper Royal Family in this country, and I think that is what they want really.
“They want people to ditch that one and go with them because they are modern, and they know what people want.”
Making the public choose between them and the Royals is not going to be easy, though. First of all, there is a huge divide in public perception concerning the couple.
It is clear that in the United States, the public are generally positive towards them. After all, they do live in California, which is going to go some way in helping with that.
Not only that, but Meghan is also American, which is why they would support one of their own citizens. But as for the UK, the mainstream media has viewed them negatively by portraying them as destroying the stability of the monarchy.
If the two really want to be an alternative, they need to stop bashing the Royals. Instead, they should focus on giving back to the community as much as possible to show that they can have a positive influence on society.
The jury is still out on whether Meghan and Harry can ever be as popular as the Royals. But what we do know is that they are focused on living their life according to what they want.
