Io Shirai & Zoey Stark have failed to mesh as a tag team up to this point, despite being the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. Tonight, they will make their second defense as they face Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne of Toxic Attraction. With Mandy Rose in their corner, and a lot of built up chemistry – this could be the start of a gold rush for Toxic Attraction. On their way to the ramp, they’d cross Raquel Gonzalez, and Rose really took in the NXT Women’s Championship.
Toxic Attraction Shows Some Skill
Shirai would start with Dolin, and be able to get her right into a headlock. She’d be shoved off, before dodging Dolin and nailing a massive shotgun dropkick. Jayne would tag in and talk some trash, before being taken down. Stark would tag in and lay in some heavy strikes, before being rolled up for a one count.
Jayne would counter a hip toss into another pinning predicament, before being kicked in the face and hit with a big moonsault over the top rope. Dolin would get a tag without Stark knowing and nailed a big kick to the face. Some tandem dives would land, before this one went to the outside. Dolin hit a big dive outside, but was outdone by Shirai who hit a picture perfect moonsault.
Io Shirai & Zoey Stark Don’t Collapse
Back from commercial break, Toxic Attraction has really taken control. Shirai would be flung into the middle rope before taking a huge running knee strike from Jayne. Jayne would be kicked off, and Stark got a tag in. A sliding kick would get a two count, with Dolin breaking things up. Stark would send Dolin outside and hit a rolling fireman carry on Jayne before attempting a Phoenix Splash and missing.
Jayne would hit a running neckbreaker, and tags were made on both sides. Dolin took a springboard dropkick for a two count, before being able to get back into it after Stark tagged in and Rose interfered. Stark would hold on but would be falling behind fast. She’d manage to get Shirai back into the match, who would be able to get the team the win.
