Last week on NXT 2.0, we’d see the vacant NXT Championship on the line in a Fatal Four Way match. Tommaso Ciampa defeated LA Knight, Pete Dunne and Von Wagner to reclaim his long lost pal Goldie. Tonight, he will kick the show off, and perhaps we’ll see if Bron Breakker will do more than just stare at the belt like he did at the closing moments of NXT last week.
Tommaso Ciampa Calls NXT 2.0 The A-Show
Instead of just Ciampa kicking off the show however, there would be a whole crew of new talent there to greet their champion. Bron Breakker was there alongside Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, Josh Briggs and more. He’d say that 908 days was all that was between Ciampa and the title he never lost. It’s been a long journey, and one that was 100% worth it. Every damn second.
This moment made it worth it, saying to everyone in the ring and at home – that he’s our NXT Champion. NXT 2.0 is here, a new energy and fresh faces will do that. These young names are ready to show just how damn good they are after busting their ass. Carmelo Hayes could call his shot at any time, Odysessy Jones who has charisma for days, and the terrifying Bron Breakker.
However Ciampa is NXT, and everyone here is NXT as well. Fans are the heart and soul of NXT (Sami Zayn be damned), and make this possible. He’s ready to represent this brand – and with him as champion this is now the A-show. Together with the talent and fans, we’re NXT.
Tag Team Match Set For Tonight
Crashing the fun is Cameron Grimes, who wants to get into the fun. The NXT Championship is the fuel he needs to go TO THE MOON! Joe Gacy would cut him off before getting cut off by none other than LA Knight. Knight would draw the ire of Odyssey Jones who called out Knight for losing twice last week – only for Pete Dunne to show up. The ring was really getting full, and Dunne said some sagely advice – make a name for yourself.
Ciampa would however punch him in the face, and a brawl left just Ciampa, Breakker, Holland and Dunne. Dunne & Holland were thrown out, and they’d be challenged to a tag team match by Breakker later tonight. That’s something you can’t turn down, and Breakker might have his first main event in NXT 2.0.
Can Dunne & Holland redeem this weak start to their night? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
