WWE Raw Preview is set for what looks like a fun night ahead of us. We have a championship match as well as number one contender matches for others.
There’s so much potential for tonight we almost want to pinch ourselves.
United States Number 1 Contenders Match – Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus
This has so much potential to be a full on war between these two, and there’s every reason to suspect it’ll be a great one after their showing in their challenge to Damian Priest last week.
With the winner of this match to go on to face Priest at Extreme Rules for the US title, we expect all of the stop to be pulled out, including a possible rule change before or during the match to make it a Last Man Standing Match.
In the end, we expect McIntyre to win for a face vs. face match at Extreme Rules. We expect a run in of sorts, too, so this should be interesting.
Raw Women’s Championship – Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Nia Jax
After last week’s win. Jax has earned a shot at the Raw Women’s title, and this match is teased on the WWE website, but it won’t surprise us if it’s pulled at the last minute.
While Jax has been fun to watch, her and Flair’s match last week was rough at best as it looked like they were trying a different approach and it felt too sudden.
Jax was obviously billed as a female Andre or Vader in that Flair was warry to tangle with her, but prior to then everyone’s gone after Jax with various levels of success.
This has potential to be a good match, and we expect Flair to keep her title by DQ. Unless they intend for her to win it back at Extreme Rules to move closer to having more title wins than her father, Ric Flair.
Tag Team Turmoil
This will be a quick match as the WWE doesn’t like to linger on these too much. It’ll eventually slow down as teams are incapacitated and the winners will face RK-Bro for the Raw tag titles.
The match will include The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) vs. AJ Styles and Omos vs. Mustafa Ali and Mansoor vs. The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar) vs. Lucha House Party (Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik) vs. Jinder Mahal and Veer vs. Mace and T-Bar.
With so many heavy hitters and power houses in this match, we have a feeling this is Ali and Mansoor’s time as they’ll find a way to sneak in for the win.
Ripley and Nikki vs. Tamina and Natalya
This isn’t listed as a championship match, so WWE Raw Preview thinks this will be for a shot at the titles. With Nikki and Rhea forming the women’s version of RK-Bro, we expect them to pull out the win.
This match should be a good one, but we think it’ll be a quick one instead of letting it play out.
