Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!

Tonight should be a fun one with Brock Lesnar returning and the tag titles being defended by the Usos against the Street Profits.

Let’s not waste any more time and get to Super Smackdown’s action!

The show started off with an awesome tribute to the those we lost and the United States rebuilding following 9/11.

Once the tribute video was over, Roman Reigns came out to the ring flanked by the Usos and Paul Heyman and a cascade of cheers as the fans were still pumped up.

Once in the ring, Reigns asked Heyman that when it comes to sports entertainment the WWE runs New York City, and then who runs WWE.

Heyman said the WWE runs it, and the Tribal Chief runs WWE, which means he runs New York and MSG and demanded they acknowledge him.

Brock Lesnar came out as the fans acknowledged him and he slowly made his way to the ring and circled it like a shark before stepping in and standing across from the Bloodline.

Reigns stepped back to let the Usos shield him and Heyman tried to talk Lesnar down and asked him why he want the Universal Championship.

Lesnar turned it around and asked Heyman why he didn’t tell Reigns he was going to be at SummerSlam.

Heyman looks more than a little nervous and swore he didn’t know as Reigns approached him and took the title from his hands.

The Bloodline left the ring and Heyman behind with Lesnar.

Heyman gave an introduction to Lesnar as his advocate, and Lesnar told him it’s like old times. He asked Heyman to accept his challenge before he’s fired.

When asked what his challenge is, Lesnar said his challenge for the Universal Championship and gave him 5 seconds.

He counted down to 2 and picked Heyman up for a F-5 but Reigns hit him with a Superman Punch.

Lesnar caught Reigns for an F-5, but ate a pair of superkicks before he steamrolled the Usos, then took them both on a tour of suplex city.

Backstage, a frustrated Reigns and Bloodline into the locker room and Heyman had the title back in his hands.

He was asked about Lesnar’s challenge, and a shaken Heyman ran around the bush and said Reigns will answer when he deems it appropriate.

Sami Zayn w/Trae Young, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, Otis w/Chad Gable, Apollo Crews w/ Commander Azeez vs. King Nakamura, Rick Boogs, Big E, Dominik Mysterio, Rey Mysterio

During introductions, Zayn introduced Atlanta Hawks Trae Young to be in their corner and came out to prop him up to the New York fans.

Ziggler and Nakamura started it off and Nakamura dropped him and Roode, then Otis came in and threw Nakamura to the floor.

Nakamura hit Gable with a step up kick and Otis stood on him when he rolled back into the ring as we headed to commercial.

Back from commercial and Nakamura dropped Zayn and tagged in Rey, who hit a sitton.

Rey hit a Canadian Destroyer but Crews broke up the pin, the sent Dominik to the floor with a step up kick.

Boogs suplexed Crews and Otis ran Boogs over. Nakamura sent Otis to the floor with a kinsasha, Ziggler hit Nakamura with a superkick, Big E hit Ziggler with a belly to belly, and Roode hit Big E with a spine buster.

Rey went for a 619 on Roode, but Zayn tripped him at the ropes and Young helped choked Rey out on the ropes and was banned from ringside.

Dominik hung Zayn up in the ropes, and Rey and Dominik hit a double 619, and Big E hit a Big Ending for the win.

Well, this was nothing but a spot fest and could’ve been so much more.

After the match, Big E teased he may be back out there later tonight and he promised Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns better watch out.

An exciting beginning, but WWE Smackdown Results would’ve like to have seen an actual match.
