With Crown Jewel upon us and Bill Goldberg looking to end Bobby Lashley’s career as payback for fighting off his son, we thought it’d be fun to look at Goldberg’s recent history in Saudi Arabia events.
We’re affectionately calling it his kill list in honor of his repeated claims to kill Lashley. Could there be reason for Lashley to worry?
We all know Goldberg is only playing off a script and he’s not really going to try to kill Lashley, but he’s got a few notches on his belt, dating all the way back to his mule kick on Bret Hart that basically ended Bret’s wrestling career for some time.
Bret hasn’t been quiet or nice about his assessment of Goldberg’s in ring skill at keeping his opponents safe, and Goldberg’s fired back.
Tally list
Recently, Dolph Ziggler threw his hat into the ring when during an interview he talked about whether or not he thinks about dying in the ring (special thanks to whatculture.com for the transcript):
“A lot of times you don’t, but maybe if you’re in there with Goldberg you think about it a lot more.”
While we think this was Ziggler in character, there may be some truth to it as Ziggler lost to Goldberg at SummerSlam 2019 in under two minutes.
Their match came two months after Goldberg’s near disastrous match against the Undertaker at Super Showdown when both men nearly ended one another.
This match starts our list as the heat was blamed for the Super Showdown match despite Goldberg reportedly suffering a bad concussion at the start of the match and blood pouring from his head.
Following this match, Goldberg ended The Fiend’s championship run in a squash match that infuriated fans and earned him and Roman Reigns “You both suck!” chants on the following Smackdown.
At least no one but the Fiend character was injured in this match.
Third, the above mentioned matches were voted the worst main event matches in WWE history by the fans.

Could go either way
This opens the door to conjecture about what kind of match can we expect from Goldberg and Lashley?
Lashley’s come into his own over the last year and is capable of carrying a match, but he may not have to in this case.
Goldberg is 54 and between that and the heat this could be a quick match.
Sadly, we expect it to follow in line with The Fiend match and be over in less than five minutes because, well, Goldberg can’t really give us more.
Not anymore, and really not ever. He became huge with fast, dominant wins. He may be capable of more, but it’s hard to break out of what’s expected even after all of these years.
Will Lashley be added to Goldberg’s kill list or will this be a match worth remembering for being a good one? Let us know in the comments below.
