Britney Spears may have suffered at the hands of her parents, but it looks as though her sister Jamie Lynn Spears may have gone through similar problems.
Jamie Lynn Spears’ Parents Tried To Make Her Have An Abortion
That is according to Jamie Lynn’s new book entitled ‘Things I should have said.’ According to the book, the star was pregnant at the age of 16.
Given that she was so young, there were concerns over whether having a baby was the right thing to do. Therefore, there was pressure from Jamie Lynn’s parents with several options being discussed, such as abortion.
And things got so intense that people from within her circle started to convince Jamie to have an abortion. In the book, she said: “[People] came to my room trying to convince me that having a baby at this point in my life was a terrible idea.
“It will kill your career. You are just too young.” Making such a decision requires the consultation of all people involved, and it has to be done with certainty.
And yet, Jamie Lynn was prevented from having a mobile which stopped her from communicating with other people, including Britney. The former did not even know that Jamie was pregnant.
Therefore, she was left to ponder over this by herself. The book added: “I needed her [Britney] more than ever, and she wasn’t able to help me in my most vulnerable time.
“To this day, the hurt of not being able to tell my sister myself still lingers.” This all came to a head when Jamie and her father got into a massive fight.
The latter is known for exhibiting controlling behaviour, but when Jamie did not agree with what her father had to say, they engaged in bitter arguments.
The following comments confirmed as much: “[ We were] Slinging words and tossing insults.” Jamie Lynn may get lots of criticism over not being there for Britney, but it is clear that she had major issues of her own.
Her actions should be considered in this context before people cast aspersions against her. After all, whatever she did for Britney is something that her father never did. And that should be recognised at least.
