Right now, as odd as it sounds – FTR are the tag team champions of the Lucha Libre promotion AAA Wrestling. This came about when they were able to get a win over The Lucha Bros on AEW TV, as they were brought in for the match by Andrade, who paid MJF to borrow the two members of The Pinnacle. It wasn’t a clean win, and has made quite a few fans of AAA pretty angry. In AEW this is simply to step closer to FTR vs. Lucha Bros at Full Gear, which has now been confirmed as a match. But in AAA, things will continue, and FTR have a different manager in mind.
FTR To Be Managed By Vickie Guerrero In AAA – Could Bring Love Or Heat
Normally, we will see legendary Four Horsemen member Tully Blanchard fittingly in the corner of FTR. This is a man who they looked up and idolized as wrestling fans, with FTR being a bit of a modern take on the team of Tully & Arn Anderson – The Brainbusters. However, going forward in AAA they will have Vickie Guerrero as their manager. This will start with some upcoming tapings that Tully Blanchard won’t be making his way to Mexico.
Guerrero is the manager of Nyla Rose in AEW, and is part of the legendary Guerrero family through her marriage to the late Eddie Guerrero. That connection will either bring her newest clients some love from the fans, or heat as she is one of the best heels – her screeching voice bringing most fans to cover their ears and try to drown her out. This is going to be interesting one way or the other.
A Potentially Very Fun Run Is Coming Here
FTR are anti-highflying and like to stick tag team rules on matches. Meanwhile the lucha libre style of tag team match keeps action flowing, with a partner leaving the ring being as good as a tag as people dive to the outside. This could prove to be an excellent run with AAA World Tag Team Championships. One that could truly get people talking.
