One of the weirdest movie announcements in recent memory is that we are going to get a movie based on Buzz Lightyear. This being the origin of the toy from Toy Story is based and played by Captain America, Chris Evans.
After watching Toy Story back in 1996, this came as a massive surprise, but the trailer has been released. It looks like Lightyear could become a very entertaining movie. However, with the success of a movie comes a lot more movies and looking at Toy Story and its character, we may see a lot more movies like this in the future.
It opens up a lot of doors for other movies
It’s possible that Lightyear will be a success, and with that, a lot more movies will come with the same theme to them. So many toys are based on real people in the real world. So why not Woody, Bo Peep, Jessie and the gang in their original movie. It opens many doors for a new kind of ToyVerse of what inspired the toys to be made in the first place.
A future ToyVerse
A whole new universe of movies could be made from the basis of Lightyear. It’s possible that Lightyear, maybe the ToyVerse’s Iron Man. The obvious sequel after this would be Woody movies, another very popular character of Toy Story.
But through this, new characters can be made and then more Toy Story movies can be made. They could all be connected in one way or another. Buzz and Woody are a small part of the ToyVerse, and LightYear could become a lot bigger.
