It’s time for the best in-ring product in WWE today, with NXT UK. This week is a bit more of a quiet one, but will see Sam Gradwell get some payback after breaking a prized skateboard of Mark Andrews. The main event has the finals of the NXT UK Heritage Cup Tournament, with Wolfgang taking on Noam Dar. Let’s waste no time, and get right into it.
Jinny Wants Her Shot At Meiko Satomura
We’d kick things off with some action from the women’s division of NXT UK, as Jinny takes on the student of NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura. Emilia McKenzie starts off hot, before getting distracted by Joseph Conners at ringside. Combine him and the high ring IQ of Jinny, and you have problems. A nasty armbreaker takes away McKenzies power, and her missing a spear into the corner spells disaster. Even Satomura coming to ringside didn’t help, as Jinny nails the rolling liger kick for the win.
Following the match, we’d see Jinny verbally trash McKenzie for even thinking she was on her level, before saying that now that she has the attention of Meiko – it’s time. She wants a shot at the NXT UK Women’s Champion, and Satomura accepts. While Satomura has been dominant, remember that Jinny has beaten Satomura in title matches in Progress. Elsewhere in the women’s division, Blair Davenport will be back next week – taking on Stevie Turner.
We’d get a quick match between Sam Gradwell & Mark Andrews next. Gradwell broke a skateboard, and here he’d break Andrews as well. He’s basically Sheamus-lite, a hard hitting trash talker who consistently wins. Easily been a highlight since NXT UK returned, and a big driver got him a win over the former NXT UK Tag Team Champion.
Noam Dar Has Date With Tyler Bate
We’d get confirmation that next week, Ilja Dragunov defends the NXT UK Championship against A-Kid, which is a huge time match. Can also assume Flash Morgan Webster will face Sha Samuels, after slapping him in the face during a backstage segment. A solid three match card for sure.
In the main event, Wolfgang & Noam Dar would clash for the right to challenge Tyler Bate. First round sees Dar attack the hurt arm of Wolfgang in an attempt to take away his power, but gets the fall in second round after Jordan Devlin distracts by attacking Wolfgang fellow Gallus member Joe Coffey at ringside. A rollup fall is followed up by Wolfgang spearing Dar out of his boots as round three began, evening the score.
We’d see them go back and forth in the fourth round, with Wolfgang ending by hitting the barricade after missing the spear. Dar would start to kick away at Wolfgang, and barely survived a spear – was saved by the three minute timer in a Heritage Cup match. Final round, Dar nails two Nova Roller kicks to win the match.
