We’re in the middle of the 2021 WWE Draft. Major names like Roman Reigns, Big E, Charlotte Flair and more have already found their new homes – and even smaller names like MACE & T-Bar found out their fates on Talking Smack. However one name who is just waiting for his moment to shine again is Ricochet.
One of the top high flying wrestlers in the world today, Ricochet is often considered to be one of the more wasted talents on the WWE roster. While his time in NXT was incredible, with some instant classics in both singles and tag team action – he’s done little to shine on the WWE main roster, despite being a former United States Champion. He hopes this draft will change that.
Ricochet Is Super Excited For The 2021 WWE Draft – Hopes It Can Give Him New Chances
While on the With Authority podcast, Ricochet would talk about his place on the WWE roster – and how he’s trying to remain positive.
“I haven’t really been doing much for the past five weeks. We’re just waiting, buying our time, waiting for the right moment and stuff. I’m super excited for the draft. I’m gonna wait for that. I don’t really have a specific brand I’m hoping to be on. For me, wherever I land, I know that at that moment, I have to make an impact wherever I’m at. People all the time tell me, ‘I want to see you, I want to see you.’ I get that a lot, so I’m just waiting for my opportunity to strike, I guess. I’m ready to make an impact.”
Ricochet was looking like a major player around Money In The Bank – but since then has mainly been beaten up by Karrion Kross or relegated to WWE Main Event, where he gets beaten up by Karrion Kross. This is hardly a great use of him, but he has kept his smile and remains always ready. You never know who WWE will want to push at a moments notice – and with King of The Ring starting next Friday on Smackdown Live? He could be on the verge of becoming royalty; instead of royally underused.
