It’s been a weird time for fans of Ring of Honor. They’ve been more or less kept on the outside of the partnership between NJPW & AEW, despite producing one of the best weekly TV products in the professional wrestling industry right now. ROH was able to get some fans into the arena for Glory by Honor & Death Before Dishonor – and Final Battle 2021 will also have a live audience.
ROH Have Been Good For Keeping Their Fanbase Safe
Ring of Honor have been great for keeping their fans and talent healthy. They were one of the last promotions to allow fans into the mix, and have implemented heavy screening processes – and aren’t scared to scrap a match if a wrestler can’t pass them. This will allow them to have a paying crowd for their coming show at Baltimore’s Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena.
There were rumors earlier this year that ROH wouldn’t be running any more shows with fans, and after doing their latest tapings without – that seemed very likely. However, on the announcement page for Final Battle, they would mention that fans should “Keep it locked into ROHWrestling.com and ROH’s social media channels for ticket on-sale information so that you can join us in Baltimore.”
Lot’s Of Potential For A Great Show
There are some big matches that ROH might be able to pull out for this coming show. Jonathan Gresham has entered the hunt for the ROH World Championship after dominating the Pure Division for nearly a year, so Bandido vs. Jonathan Gresham is very likely to be a title match for this event. PCO is nearly done with ROH, so one big match for the legend might be in order – perhaps even against his former partner Brody King.
Josh Woods will seek to prove his Pure dominance, and there are countless great options for him. Rok-C will almost certainly be defending her ROH World Women’s Championship, perhaps even against Chelsea Green or another major threat like Max The Impaler.
