Jon Moxley was one of the original surprise signings of AEW. Appearing on the Double or Nothing show attacking Jericho and Kenny Omega. Since then, he has become AEW world champion and made up with long time friend and now tag team partner Eddie Kingston.
Then he had a small feud with NJPW that has hit a road bump in AEW, but he is still feuding with Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer in NJPW. But currently, in AEW, Jon Moxley doesn’t really have an ongoing feud, so that asks the question; what is next for Jon Moxley?
Heel turn for Moxley
Jon Moxley has always been the unhinged character from his WWE run to AEW. There has always been an unhinged feel to the character. However, currently in AEW, we have not seen a full-blown heel, Moxley. It might be hard to know that due to his nature in the ring and in promos. But if you look at opponents are all on the heel side, making it feel like Moxley has been a babyface for the whole time in AEW.
With this promo getting a lot more hated on the roster, it’s likely that a heel turn will be coming, making a lot more feuds with baby faces of AEW. Let’s just hope when Moxley turns heel, so does Kingston. I don’t think I could handle it if Moxley turns on Kingston to turn heel.
The feud with NJPW continues
There is also a possibility that the Jon Moxley Vs. NJPW feud continues in the future. It’s possible that currently, the G1 is stopping this from continuing. When the G1 is over, it’s possible that Jon Moxley will be going against more of the top stars from NJPW.
With the main boss being Jon Moxley and Hiroshi Tanahashi, the original feud felt like it was leading up to. But it’s currently been dropped but could easily be picked up in the near future.
