On the latest episode of NXT 2.0 – we’d see two vignettes for coming names to the always expanding NXT 2.0 roster. Solo Sikia is a simple one to figure out, being another son of Rikishi in Joseph Fatu. However, we got a name and a good look during that one – while the other was literally shrouded in shadows. They are claiming to bury their past to move forward – and were seen digging with a shovel. Who could this be?
The Voice Sounds An Awful Lot Like Dakota Kai
Some fans were quick to download the clip to try to take some distortion away from the audio, much like we saw with the Smackdown Hacker. However, while we eventually found out that was going to be Mustafa Ali – they kept fans guessing by adding in other names. This time around, it sounded like a woman of UK or Australian origins with the accent… or New Zealand.
With this limited information – it’s very up in the air but one popular theory is Dakota Kai. She didn’t get called up in the WWE draft following her loss to Raquel Gonzalez. At Halloween Havoc, Gonzalez will defend against the leader of Toxic Attraction Mandy Rose. That means Kai would return on that day and potentially cost Gonzalez her championship.
WWE Stands For…
The second most popular theory relies on WWE casting some smoke and shadows around this reveal to bury the truth of the reveal. Elias is another strong option – with him returning to NXT to reinvent himself. Anyone would need that after losing a feud to Jaxson Ryker.
Elias has always had some untapped potential in NXT, and a solid worker like him could help out with the slew of rookies on the roster with the 2.0 rebrand. This is more of a hopeful wish from fans of Elias however, with all the evidence leading to Kai as the most likely option.
