For weeks now, Andre Chase has been a thorn in the side of the hulking Odyssey Jones. Jones was able to eliminate Chase from the NXT Breakout Tournament, and this was a loss that Chase took personally. He would mock the loss of Jones in the final, his lack of ring awareness, and would even cost Jones a win over LA Knight by pushing his leg back into the ring as he attempted a rope break. Tonight, Jones has a big chance to get some revenge, and could look to flatten and shut Andre Chase up.
Odyssey Jones Crushes Andre Chase
Jones would hit the ring before the break, and reconnected with Garagno & Lumis – who he enjoyed a helluva bachelor party with. However, the ring would be no place for a party as it became Andre Chase University. He had a section of students in the crowd, and the win was dedicated in advance to his students! Chase got a headlock in while he was wearing a sweater and slacks, but was shoved off.
A flying shoulder tackle saw Jones sent flying in the other direction – but a dropkick off the middle rope and some running double foot stomps finally took him down. Chase would hit a snap DDT on the mat, but was thrown off after just a one count. Jones has become a fan favorite in NXT 2.0, and his big strikes and a one armed scoop slam showed why. A rolling senton on the mat would be the prelude to a simple running splash which ended the night for Andre Chase. Maybe he needed to do more homework.
A True Test For The Creed Brothers
When it comes to former NXT Tag Team Champions, Fabian Aichner & Marcel Bartel are often overlooked. Maybe this is due to sharing a faction with WALTER, who is a dominant force – while they lack the same aura without him around to add it. Tonight they have what could be a hard test, as they take on the Creed Brothers, who have Imperium as their first hard challenge in the tag team division.
Imperium would hit the ring as focused as ever, and would have a massive experience edge over their opponents. Brutus would take Aichner down with a fireman’s carry, before Aichner slipped out and hit a shoulder tackle. Bartel would get a blind tag in before grabbing a wrist lock, and would be lifted up into a slam out of it by Brutus. would have his wrist tortured, but an overhead suplex got him free. Brutus mocked the pose of Imperium, and get hit with a jaw shaking European Uppercut and a PK.
Julius would finally tag in, and take Bartel into the corner, before taking a suplex from the technical master himself. Roderick Strong would grab the leg of Bartel, and that allowed Julius to take control. Quick tags in and out would show the chemistry of the Creed Brothers, and Brutus would suplex Julius onto Bartel – a fun tag move. Bartel would be desperate for a tag, and found it and Aichner would show his power as he caught Brutus on his shoulder for the rolling fireman’s carry – with Julius saving the match.
Bartel tagged in and was caught out of the air with a gutwrench, which Juluis turned into a powerbomb. KUSHIDA & Jiro Ikeman would hit the ringside to get revenge on Diamond Mine for last week, and Bartel took advantage for a win!
A fast paced and insanely fun tag team match, just with a rather messy finish. Creed Brothers are showing some insane skill for their young age in professional wrestling, and Imperium are rock solid like always. Match Rating: 2.75/5 (** 3/4)
After the match, MSK got some payback from recent attacks, and took Imperium down to a negative reaction from the crowd. Imperium will get a shot at MSK next week! Can MSK finally lose the belts? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
