Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we’re set for what looks like a fun night with Raw’s round one of the King of the Ring tournament and furthering the championship storylines for Extreme Rules.
We’re going to grab some snacks and we’ll be back for the 8 p.m. EST start to kick off WWE Raw Live Results.
Segment 1
The Usos came out to challenge Drew McIntyre and Big E to a tag match later tonight, so does that mean Big E and McIntyre’s single match isn’t happening?
Segment 2
King of the Ring Round One – Xavier Woods vs. Ricochet
This match started off even but Ricochet started to take it over and hit a superplex as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
Ricochet came close, but Woods turned it around and hit a flying elbow for the win. Looks like him facing Kingston next week is a step closer to reality.
Segment 4
Mansoor and Mustafa Ali vs. Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander
This didn’t take long as Alexander hit a Mishinoku Driver on Ali for the win, and Ali shoved Mansoor aside and stormed off, saying he’s tired of this.
Segment 5
Queen’s Crown Round One – Shayna Zaszler vs. Dana Brooke
This didn’t take long before Baszler hit with a knee for the win.
Segment 6
Riddle vs. Omos w/AJ Styles
This was a huge time waster as Riddle spent more time on the mic than the match lasted as Styles directed Omos to destroy Riddle in various ways.
Orton slipped in behind Styles and hit an RKO.
Segment 7
Bobby Lashley addressed Goldberg’s comments about killing him last week by saying Goldberg can’t beat, hurt, or kill the Almighty.
Segment 8
Jeff Hardy vs. Austin Theory
This was another quick one the 24/7 Championship chase interrupted, but Theory dodged a Swanton Bomb and rolled Jeff up with a handful of pants for the win.
Segment 9
King of the Ring Round One: Kofi Kingston vs. Jinder Mahal w/Shanky and Veer
Mahal started out dominating, but Kingston took over with a missile dropkick and coffin drop off the ropes to the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
Kingston put in a good effort, but Mahal won with a full nelson slam, putting the nail in out New Day match next week.
Segment 11
Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair
This erupted in a free for all brawl and Pearce and Deville came out to demand the match restart as we headed to commercial.
Segment 12
There was a brief hint of teamwork before Banks and Belair went after each other to get a DQ or No Contest. Another brawl started and Lynch ended it with a pump handle slam on Banks to stand tall.
Segment 13
Queen’s Crown Round One – Doudrop vs. Natalya
This wasn’t a quick as we expected, but it was still a good one Doudrop eventually managed to win by rolling Natalya up during a sharpshooter attempt.
Segment 14
Backstage, Ali told Mansoor he’s worthless and beat him down, ending their friendship and tag team.
Segment 15
Big E and Drew McIntyre vs. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso)
This started out with both teams controlling one member of the other team for long periods until the Usos sent Big E into the ring steps as we headed to commercial.
Segment 16
McIntyre and Big E broke into a brawl and were counted out, then they took out the Usos before McIntyre hit a Claymore and stood over Big E.
Aside from the string of squash matches, this was a pretty decent show. The ending was pretty cool, but lacked a decent impact since we saw the same thing with the women’s tag match earlier.
What did you think of the show? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining WWE Raw Live Results. We had a blast and can’t wait until next week.
