Only a month after his last brush with the law, former UFC fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller is facing serious assault charges. Miller was allegedly involved in a bar fight that ended with a patron suffering broken ribs.
TMZ Sports reported that Miller, 40, was in a brawl at a San Fernando Valley bar in September. Initially, the other man involved did not file a police report, but upon a visit to hospital that revealed broken ribs, changed his mind. Miller has been charged with felony assault and felony battery, which could put him behind bars for years if he is convicted.
Jason “Mayhem” Miller Facing Two Felony Charges Following Bar Fight
Miller has not fought in the UFC since 2012, and has not fought professionally since 2016. His life since retirement has been marred by criminal and antisocial activity. In fact, these most recent charges come only a month after he was arrested on domestic violence charges.
It was the early hours of September 10 that the police received a call from a woman screaming for help. The police, upon arriving at Miller’s home in the San Fernando Valley, found the woman with marks on her face and neck, and arrested Miller on the spot. However, “Mayhem” did not go down without first trying to avoid arrest.
He barricaded himself in the bathroom, refusing to come out, forcing police to knock down the door. In doing so, Jason Miller earned himself an additional charge of resisting arrest.
These two felony charges, in addition to his two new ones, may well put Jason Miller behind bars for years. His long history of criminal behavior will doubtless work against him in this regard, as Miller has a decade of various assault and domestic violence charges against him.
In fact, Jason Miller’s history of domestic violence goes all the way back to 2013. Prior to that, he was arrested for assault when he attacked his own sister in 2011, and has since repeatedly faced arrest for various domestic violence charges, with his most recent charges being his fifth.
“Mayhem” Miller’s legal trouble does not end there, however. Attacks on security guards and police officers, burglary, vandalism, and probation violations, have culminated in Miller facing decades behind bars. At one point, it looked as if Miller would serve 23 years in a state prison, which he escaped via a plea deal.
However, in light of these most recent charges, it’s likely that Jason Miller will go away for a long time.
