Jeff Hardy’s been on a rise in the WWE lately, and he recently appeared on Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions where he talked about his past demons and how he’s happy with where he is in life at the moment.
He’s overcome so much in his career, and it’s hard not to imagine the worst after the reported events from this weekend, but he was sent home after the event so it could mean anything.
Looking sluggish and sent home
On Saturday, Jeff was part of the main event 6 man tag match that had him, Drew McIntyre, and King Woods facing the Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jey and Jimmy Uso).

It’s been reported that Jeff looked more sluggish as the match went on, and after he made the big tag to bring McIntyre in, he slipped out of the ring.
He then climbed over the barricade and headed to the back through the crowd.
Jeff was then replaced on Sunday night in the main event by Rey Mysterio, and this is when the rumors really started to pick up.
Could be an injury
Injuries are a definite part of a professional wrestler’s life, and he could’ve easily hurt himself bad enough where he had no choice but to slip out as unnoticed as possible.
We’re curious what the WWE will say about this or if they’ll say anything. With rumors of NXT stars being released on Tuesday, it’s possible we could get our answer then.
If Jeff is released with them then it points to his problem being more of a substance abuse type the WWE wants to wipe their hands of. But if he’s not then it’s either something the WWE wants to handle or it’s an injury.
We hope it’s nothing serious and he just needs some time off to heal, but if he’s fallen into dark times again this could prove problematic at best for him.
He’s been so open about his demons and the past that it would hurt if he stumbled, but it’s not the end of the world. With some help he’ll be able to right the ship and continue on.
We all stumble at some point, and whatever the reason for him leaving the match and being replaced on Sunday is, we wish him the best and a speedy recovery moving forward.
