Piers Morgan has slammed Meghan Markle following her court victory in which she obtained damages against the ‘Mail on Sunday’ after they had decided to publish a letter that she had returned towards her father, Thomas Markle.

Such an action had violated her right to privacy and copyright laws, given that it was done without her consent.
Following the decision, Meghan spoke about how this would hopefully set a precedent in which other people could speak out against power and therefore be protected against such media intrusion.
Nevertheless, not everybody was left feeling impressed by what she had to say. In fact, Piers took it a step further by questioning the integrity of Meghan.
He went on to suggest that perhaps she may have exploited this situation in order to show that she was sympathetic towards her father and, therefore, a victim of his bad behaviour that ultimately led to the duo to become estranged.
In reference to this, he highlighted how Meghan’s use of the word ‘daddy’ was attempted to get the public on her side. But as for him, this backfired when he read the letter.
In a statement in response, he remarked: “I regret to say that when I read that ruthlessly cynical little gem, my heart-strings remained resolutely unmoved.
“But a small piece of repulsed intestinal fluid spat out of my mouth.” The response on social media was one of condemnation towards Piers.
Many people felt that his conduct had overstepped the line, given that these attacks had started to become personal. Therefore, there was no objective reality to base his opinions on.
One person on social media wrote: “Is this not bullying? It’s fine to not like her, but this seems particularly nasty.” Despite the blowback that he was getting, Piers continued to stand his ground.
That is what has made him one of the most talked-about and controversial talk show hosts in living memory.
His following comments confirmed as much: “Thanks to this court case, we’ve now seen what the real Meghan looks like, fork tongue and all. It’s not a pretty sight.”
