Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Win The Title Of Being The ‘Most Talked About’ Members From The Royal Family
According to reports, Harry and Meghan were the ‘most talked about’ members of the Royal family. This was based on the evidence collated on Google searches that had occurred throughout the year.
According to a study by Lucky Creek, they were “searched 367 percent more than William and Kate this year.” On reflection, this is not surprising for the following reasons.
First of all, their primetime interview on CBS with Oprah Winfrey was broadcast across the globe. And given the revelations which came to light, it is hardly surprising that their names were being searched.
Secondly, Harry and Meghan have attempted to cross over into other sections of society including the celebrity world as shown by Meghan’s recent appearance on the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show.’
Nevertheless, just because somebody is being talked about the most does not necessarily mean that it is positive publicity. This has been seen in the response to Meghan’s desire to advocate paid parental leave in the United States.
A certain subset of people felt she was simply interfering in US politics and trying to garner influence by virtue of using her Royal title.
And yet, the couple have still managed to influence the public discourse. In an official statement on behalf of Lucky Creek, a representative said: “This year has been incredibly eventful for the entire Royal family.
“And it is fascinating to see Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey being hailed as the most talked-about royal moment of the year.
“It is truly a testament to the couple’s influence.” The next challenge that Harry and Meghan will face is being able to convert that influence into palpable change.
If they are able to give back to the community and make a significant contribution in the United States, then there is a feeling that the media perception towards them will continue to change for the better.
