Sean Waltman, better known to WWE fans as X-Pac, appeared on 2021’s final episode of WWE’s The Bump, where he revealed he’s cleared to wrestle.
“It’s going great. My surgeon gave me the go-ahead, I just got the green light to get back in the ring.”
Waltman’s had a long road to recovery, but he’s managed to make it after announcing in the latter part of 2020 that his Hepatitis C was cured and he then had surgery to repair a torn ACL from 2008.
It’s great news for him to finally be pain free and able to go if anyone gives him a call. In fact, his resolution for 2022 is get be ready for that call.

Dream matches ahead
As soon as the news got out, two members of the WWE family responded on Twitter and threw their hats into the ring.
The biggest announcement came from Ricochet as he tweeted: “Bring it on @TheRealXPac [fire emoji].”
Waltman has responded that we’ve seen, but it would be a fun match. We’re curious how much of the old X-Pac there is and this would be a great way to bring him out.
Plus, Ricochet has the knack for bringing out the best in others as well as himself.
Waltman’s last match was in 2019 when he teamed with Shane Helms and Jushin Thunder Liger, but he wasn’t happy with how it went so it’s understandable he’d like to go out with a good match.
But there could be another match in his future as well. Corey Grave threw his hat in the mix by replying to Waltman’s Tweet with a hand raising emoji.

— Corey Graves (@WWEGraves) December 29, 2021
Graves hasn’t wrestled since 2014 after a series of concussions ended his in ring career.
Still, it appears he’s itching to get back into the ring despite never saying if he’s been medically cleared, and if he has been this would be another fun match fans would appreciate.
The downside
As with any athlete or entertainer, it’s difficult for them to let go and move on when their time is over, and they often leave a bad taste in fans’ mouths when they want that one more moment.
On the plus side, they can be protected in professional wrestling and made to look like they haven’t lost much, and that’s what Ricochet and Graves can help Waltman to do.
They can help send him out in style, or even restart a short run for him if he’s willing and able.
What do you think? Will we see X-Pac in a WWE ring again?
