Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
Tonight should be a fun one with Roman Reigns returning after Brock Lesnar planted some more seeds about Paul Heyman still being his advocate.
We’ll be back at the 8 P.M. EST start time to kick off WWE Smackdown Live Results.
Segment 1
Sasha Banks and Toni Storm vs. Charlotte Flair and Shotzi
This started off as a slow burn with everyone getting in the ring and getting some shots in before Shotzi broke up a pin attempt by Storm on Flair and then sent Storm to the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 2
The action continued as Flair and Shotzi maintained control and Flair hit an exploder on Banks to send her to the floor as we headed back to commercial.
Segment 3
Storm got her knees up to counter Flair’s moonsault, then rolled her up for the win.
Segment 4
The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar) vs. Jinder Mahal and Shanky
This was a good match despite it already being in progress when we came back from commercial following a entire segment recapping Bobby Lashley on Raw.
The Viking Raiders won in a surprise after Ivar hit a splash off the top rope for the pin on Shanky. We were sure the Vikings were going to be fodder for Shanky’s push.
Segment 5
Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss couldn’t pull Excalibur, we mean Angela out of Pearce’s desk, so McIntyre came out and pulled the Sword from the Desk to close out Happy Time.
Segment 6
Ridge Holland w/Sheamus vs. Cesaro
This was a quick one after Holland hit Cesaro in the ribs with a billy club before then match, and then hit a slam for the win following a Sheamus distraction.
Segment 7
Naomi vs. Shayna Baszler
Deville distracted Naomi so Baszler could attack her from behind, but when the bell rang Naomi rolled her up for the win. Guess Baszler is the new jobber in the women’s division.
Segment 8
The New Day (King Woods, Kofi Kingston) vs. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso)
This started off fast for the New Day, but the Usos used great tag team moves to gain the upper hand and Jey hit Kofi with a clothesline on the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 9
Woods distracted the ref so he missed Jey tag in, and Kofi hit Jimmy with a Trouble in Paradise for the win.
Segment 10
Roman Reigns arrived and asked Heyman if he was protecting Lesnar from him. Heyman told him he’s not protecting Lesnar from him, but he’s protecting Reigns from Lesnar.
Reigns fired him and dropped Heyman with a Superman Punch, but before Reign could his a con-chair-to on Heyman, Lesnar came out and ran through the Usos.
Reigns him him a couple off times with the chair but Lesnar ignored it and hit an F-5, then a second one to send a message.
The show was hit or miss, but the ending was awesome the way it was played out.
