Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!
It’s going to be an interesting night with Brock Lesnar returning from his suspension, and we can’t wait to see what’s going to happen with Adam Pearce and Roman Reigns on that front.
That’s enough talk, let’s get to the action!
Lesnar came out to the ring to kick the show off to “Suplex City” chants. Bet this will be fun.
He’s there for one reason and that’s the Universal Championship, and Sami Zayn chose then to come out to interrupt him.
Zayn went on about the two of them having a lot in common aside from the UFC championships, and Zayn said he’s a fan and respects Lesnar’s body of work.
Lesnar told him to shup up and said he doesn’t know who Zayn is and asked if he’s a fan. He pointed out he hunts, kills things, and eats things in Saskatchewan and wanted to know why he hasn’t ripped Zayn’s head off.

Zayn told him he’s the number one contender for the Universal Championship, and Lesnar got a laugh out of him getting suspended and Zayn getting the number one contender spot.
Lesnar played up to Zayn’s ego and pointed out they’re playing him and he said he should face Reigns tonight instead of Day 1.
Zayn tried to talk his way out of it and declined Lesnar’s advice and rested a hand on Lesnar’s chest.
Lesnar twisted his hand to force him into challenging Reigns and promised he’ll be at Zayn’s side tonight.
Backstage, Zayn tried to get out of his match when talking to Sonya Deville when Lesnar came up and Deville made the match, and Lesnar will face the winner at Day 1.
Sasha Banks vs. Shayna Baszler

Banks went right after Baszler and nearly got caught in a Kirufino Clutch but escapes.
Banks’s baseball slide under the ropes was caught in an ankle lock, but Banks slammed Baszler into the ring apron and then into the ring and hit a meteora before throwing her into the ring for a pin attempt as we headed to commercial.
Back from the break and Banks remained in control until Baszler hit a double knee and a gut wrench suplex for a near pinfall.
Banks fought back with a double stomp for a near pinfall, but they continued trading blows.
Baszler countered a wheel barrow into a Kirufina Clutch, but Banks rolled through it to lock in a Bank Statement.
Banks rolled through a gut wrench attempt for the pin and win.
Happy Talk’s not so happy
Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss welcomed us to Happy Talk and talked about the battle royal when Corbin eliminated him, and then switched to mocking Jeff Hardy for forgetting about Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre for throwing a fit.
McIntyre took offense at Moss’ Scottish Worrier joke and came out. Moss headed out to calm him down while Jeff hit Corbin with a Twist of Fate, then Moss as well.
McIntyre cleaned up by nailing Moss with a Claymore.
The Viking Raiders (Erik, Ivar) vs. Los Letharios (Humberto Carrillo, Angel Garza)

Erik and Angel started it off and Erik caught him with a Yurinagi and knocked Humberto off the apron.
The Viking Raiders went to work on Angel, but he avoided Ivar’s bronco buster and Angel hit Erik with a superkick. Humberto held Erik while Angel took his time for Nakamura and Boogs to come to ring side to try to distract them with Boogs’ guitar.
Instead of being distracted, Humberto rolled up Erik for the win.
Well, this was a quickie.
Erik and Ivar turned their attention to Nakamura and Boogs, and Boogs calmed them with a guitar riff of their theme song.
WWE Smackdown Results aren’t sure what to make of this one.
