52-year-old Ben Rathbun used to be in a religious cult and a married pastor. Now, he is a model meeting younger women online. He told his ex-wife and three of his four kids that he had fallen for mysterious 24-year-old Peruvian woman Mahogany on the internet after talking to her for three months.

Ben Rathbun’s daughter took to Instagram to blast his pictures for being obviously edited. His family were shocked that he was falling for another internet love after being catfished and scammed before. But he said meeting Mahogany was God’s plan.
A Reddit user, merlot120 called the new cast member out in a post titled, “Why doesn’t God’s plan ever include a fifty year old woman for these fifty year old men?”
Many viewers were shocked by Ben’s naivety and judgment, as “Mahogany” seems to be a fraud who is already conning him out of money after he had already been catfished by an African man “God sent him a man from Africa in the form of a catfish before, why didn’t he accept God’s offering then?” someone asked, and another person said, “God’s plan is too busy dishing out mid-life crises to said men.”

Another fan wrote, “It’s odd that his friends are all a good 20 years younger than him too,” one user said after watching him tell three of his disbelieving friends about his plans with his online love. “He isn’t on the same maturity level as most men in their 50’s. He has the maturity level of a 20 something year old because he was heavily suppressed by the church/cult,” someone wrote back.
Another couple that fans are skeptical about ever meeting are American Ella Johnson and her Chinese boyfriend, Johnny, who didn’t show up during the last episode, were introduced later in the season.
While Ella is gearing up for her Chinese boyfriend to spend several months with her he seems to be unable or unwilling to leave his life behind in China to stay with her for a long time.
