Controversial claims have emerged which suggest that Prince Andrew may have dated none other than Ghislaine Maxwell.
Sources Claim That Ghislaine Maxwell May Have Had ‘An Intimate Relationship With Prince Andrew’
This would add further fuel to the fire, especially since Ghislaine was found guilty of trafficking as part of the wider Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
And given that she had been an assistant for Epstein, coupled with the fact that Andrew is facing a sexual assault case from Virginia Giuffre, this is hardly going to do him any favours.
Euan Rellie, who happened to have come across Ghislaine during their time in university, had this to say: “She described Andrew as being her friend, not Jeffrey’s.
“I got the sense that Prince Andrew and Ghislaine had probably been girlfriend and boyfriend in the past. They had an easy warmth around each other.”
If these comments are taken to be true, then it could be very damaging for Prince Andrew because of the following reasons. First of all, it would be very hard for Andrew to claim that he was not aware of what Ghislaine was doing.
After all, she was very close to Epstein and Andrew had visited his house on numerous occasions. Secondly, by having been associated with Ghislaine, there would be an automatic assumption that Andrew cannot be trusted especially since Ghislaine has been found guilty.
And things have not been made any easier in that regard by what others have had to say. Paul Page, who happened to be a former bodyguard in the Royal family, had corroborated what Euan had stated earlier.
In an official statement, Paul remarked: “From the way she was allowed to enter and exit the palace at will, we suspected that she may have had an intimate relationship with Prince Andrew.
“She kept coming in and out, in and out.” Andrew is clearly in a very difficult position, as reports continue to stress that he has increasing connections to the Epstein scandal.
With that in mind, Prince Andrew will have a lot to do if he wants to convince the public that his hands are clean. We will have to see how this will play out going forward.
