Right now, the jury is still out on NXT 2.0 – but the roster got a huge boost with former NXT UK Champion WALTER showing up. He has finally agreed to move overseas, meaning a focus on NXT is incoming. While his return match was against Riddle & MSK – his first feud seems to be against Diamond Mine.
WALTER Looks To Prove To Roderick Strong Should Be Scared Of Him
This became clear with a recent digital exclusive video from WWE NXT. It would see Malcolm Bivens hyping up the chances of The Creed Brothers in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. He was clear that he was going to take them all the way to the NXT Tag Team Championships, and that no one is actually scared of Imperium. Infact, he was about to call them a bunch of bitches.
At this WALTER would appear, and lift up Bivens like a disobedient toddler – shoving him against the lockers. Roderick Strong would come to make the save. Strong is ready to take the fight to WALTER, having no reason to be scared of WALTER. He made this clear, and WALTER claimed that he should be scared.
Roderick Strong & WALTER Have Limited History – But Tons Of Show Stealing Potential
These online exclusives generally give an idea of what is to come. WALTER & Strong are two of the best wrestlers that NXT 2.0 has to offer. They’ve previously met in a massive eight man tag team match at Worlds Collide, which saw Imperium defeat The Undisputed Era. Also back in 2007, they met in their only singles match – which WALTER won. This means they are no strangers to each other, and could produce a match that proves that NXT 2.0 is just as capable as the Black & Gold era.
There was hope that WALTER would start off by going after NXT Champion Bron Breakker, but that could rush the change of the title. Right now, Santos Escobar seems to be the first in line for a run at Bron Breakker, an easier feud to win for the young champion.
