TV personality star Kaitlynn Carter has hit back at her critics who decided to attack her choice of ‘revealing’ clothing.
Kaitlynn Carter Hits Back At Those Criticizing Her Clothing-‘It’s So Shocking’
The star, who is best known for being on the hit TV show ‘The Hills: New Beginnings,’ was clearly worked up by the whole situation.
Not only did Kaitlyn take those comments about wearing ‘revealing’ clothing personally, they were made much worse by virtue of the fact that she had recently become a mother which made her realise how hurtful those comments could be.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, Kaitlynn Carter shared a series of photos of herself enjoying the New Year celebrations.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Over the course of my time on Instagram, I’ve worn a number of “revealing”outfits, and no one’s been concerned. All of sudden NOW it’s so shocking.”
The primary reason why Kaitlynn was outraged was because she felt that there was an unfair stigma being perpetuated on women to dress a certain way once they had become mothers.
Therefore, she felt that she was being pressured into a stereotypical view of what a mother should wear. And that has naturally begun to take a toll on her mental health.
She added: “It’s very sad to me that that’s the world we’re living in. You’re expected to dress one way pre-children and another way post.
“One of my greatest fears in becoming a mother was that I’d lose who I was before.” But through it all, she managed to come out of it on the other side.
As such, she is embracing her appearance and continuing to do what makes her happy irrespective of the hate that she is being subjected to.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “I said to myself, “this is my body right now, and I can either feel ashamed and hide it, or I can do what I WANT to do which is embrace and celebrate everything that my body currently is.”
Kaitlyn Carter has shown that she will continue to do that is right for her. And if she is in a good place with that, then who are we to question otherwise.
