With Mickie James set to show up in WWE while holding Impact Wrestling gold, Moose is taking advantage to build up hype for potential dream matches. Often looked past by WWE, Moose has been able to rise up the ranks to become arguably the best Impact World Champion in years. Now, with the Royal Rumble coming, and rumblings of someone showing up in in the Men’s Rumble from outside the walls of WWE – Moose is looking forward to a potential match with none other than Roman Reigns – who he would pick over even Brock Lesnar.
Why Would Moose Pick Roman Reigns Over Brock Lesnar?
While speaking with SportsKeeda recently, Moose would be asked if he wanted to face Brock Lesnar – prompting the following response.
“I mean, I would love to get in the ring with him. I just — like, if I’m gonna do something, I’m gonna go for the biggest guy and that I’m level and when you talk about WWE, the first name that comes up to, as great as Brock Lesnar is and as great as everything he’s done for the sport of professional wrestling, he’s not the first person you think about when you say WWE. It’s Roman Reigns you think about. I mean, if I’m going to go anybody I’m gonna go at the big fish in the pond right and that’s why I say this.”
This is a sign that WWE has successfully been able to finally build up Reigns as the face of the company. His run as WWE Universal Champion as The Tribal Chief has been the best work of his career by a country mile. He’s had great matches with everyone from Daniel Bryan to Drew McIntyre, and Moose would likely be another great opponent for Reigns.
The Wrestling God vs. The Tribal Chief Would Be A Crossover Match For The Ages
When it comes to the hypothetical match between Reigns & Moose, you have to imagine you would get a classic heavyweight main event. Both men are powerhouses with an athletic edge, and work well with both smaller opponents – and fellow powerhouses. We’d likely see Reigns come out on top, much like when Moose went to New Japan Pro Wrestling to take on Tomohiro Ishii – but Moose would come out looking like a star.
