A former Royal maid has suggested that Prince Andrew’s conduct was not the most tasteful during her time working for the Royal family – in fact the prince didn’t seem to care when the maid was bitten by his dog!

The maid, who goes by the name of Charlotte Briggs, had been working for the Royal family during the year that Prince Andrew got divorced from Sarah Ferguson. And as part of their family set-up, the pair had a 9-year-old dog by the name of Bendick.
While it is not surprising to hear that dogs can be aggressive, the very fact of the matter is that the last thing you would expect somebody to do is laugh when they see another person being attacked by it.
And yet, that is precisely what Prince Andrew did when Charlotte was subjected to a less than friendly dog. In an interview with the Sun, she said: “My leg was bleeding and my tights ripped. He wasn’t bothered.
“Even when I was limping and my leg was purple he never apologised. It’s those little things that tell a lot about people and their character.”
Andrew’s character has certainly been called into question in light of the sexual assault allegations being made against him by Virginia Giuffre.
Although Andrew has denied doing anything of the sort, there is no denying the fact that his reputation has been damaged by his own words.
He has admitted that he did meet Jeffrey Epstein even in the aftermath of the latter pleading guilty to solicitation of prostitution.
Not only that, there were even rumours suggesting that Andrew may have been in a relationship with none other than Ghislaine Maxwell, who was recently found guilty of playing a part in trafficking.
Although Andrew’s conduct was out of line, the dog would go on to be banned from coming into Buckingham Palace on the grounds that it was not safe for it to be in and around people.
That may not have been enough for Charlotte to forget what had happened, but what it does go on to demonstrate is that Andrew has a personality that can be very divisive. And stories like this are not going to paint him in a good light to the wider public.
