Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly want to strip away any connections they had with the Royal Family when it comes to judging how they bring up their children.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Don’t Want Their Parenting To Be Judged By Royal Standards
That is according to well-renowned PR expert Kinsey Schofield. There is no denying the fact that there is always going to be a comparison between the couple’s children with that of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s kids.
While the latter have been pictured on numerous state visits alongside their children, the very fact of the matter is that Harry and Meghan have been conversely more quieter.
In this way, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won’t be up to royal standards – they are wanting to introduce their children into the public on their own terms rather than having to do it because there is an expectation to keep the public up-to-date about their private lives.
In an interview with the Express, Kinsey said: “I think deep down the Sussexes want to strip themselves completely of any royal comparisons when it comes to their actions.
“They want to provide access to their children on their terms.” This is hardly a surprise since the duo are no longer part of the Royal family.
Therefore, there is no longer an expectation for them to conform to certain standards that would otherwise be required of them. In this regard, they have been able to protect their privacy and only share things when they felt it was necessary.
A prime example of this was the Christmas photo, just last year, which pictured Lilibet for the first time alongside Meghan and Harry. And this policy is something that the two will be looking to implement in the future going forward.
Kinsey added: “If you’re at work and you have a photograph of your child on your desk, and your coworker says, ‘Oh, my gosh, your kid’s so cute.
“That’s fantastic! Can I see your phone so I can see all the pictures of your child?’“You go, ‘No. This is the picture I’m comfortable sharing with you.”
Ultimately, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have to do what is right for their children. And if they are happy with that, then who are we to question otherwise.
