RHONYC: Eboni K. Williams Outlines Her Struggles With Acne – ‘Just Felt Really Debilitating’
Being on such a show naturally requires one to be in the best possible appearance at all times. There is no denying that social media has resulted in an increase in negative media scrutiny being directed towards high-profile celebrities.
And Eboni’s problems with her skin have continued throughout her early years, which has resulted in her now becoming dependent upon cosmetics as a way to combat the pimple problem.
During an interview with US Weekly, Eboni said: “I wouldn’t go to the grocery store without a full face. That just felt really debilitating.”
Things had gotten so bad to the point where she started to become impacted by the comments that were emerging on social media.
Although she did not go on to state what those comments exactly were, the very fact of the matter is that she recognized the importance that social media plays on one’s perception. That is why she admitted that it has been a struggle to deal with those expectations.
She added: “It’s been a journey for me. Anybody that’s suffered with it [acne] or continues to suffer with it will tell you how it really impacts your whole life.
“It’s very difficult to feel good in this world — especially in this Instagram world — when you don’t feel good about the skin your in.”
But as a way to counter that, Eboni has given her full support to a company entitled ‘kinCeuticals.’ In this way, she has finally managed to find an acne solution that does not require extensive work, while also respecting her natural beauty as much as possible.
And after having gone through so much trouble in trying to deal with her acne, she admitted that she would not know where she would be without this product.
Eboni K. Williams continued: “I’ve been using it [C E Ferulic] for probably eight years now and I just will never be without it.” It is great to see Eboni being more comfortable about her appearance, and hopefully that continues going forward in the future.
