The MMA fighter turned RAW Women’s Champion only spent a year on the WWE roster, with her run going from Wrestlemania 34 to Wrestlemania 35. However, in that time – she proved that she could go with the best of them in the ring. While it seemed Wrestlemania 35 was the end of her WWE career – new rumours could place her in line for another run towards Wrestlemania.
Ronda Rousey To Enter The 2022 Royal Rumble?
Stemming from Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, new rumours surrounding Ronda Rousey place her in the field of the women’s Royal Rumble match. This would give the match a massive surprise, which is well appreciated with WWE announcing the bulk of the field ahead of time. Even Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Mickie James was announced ahead of time, robbing fans of a true shock.
Ronda Rousey being in the match would almost serve as a spoiler, as she would instantly become the favorite to win – even over the likes of Asuka & Bianca Belair. She has unfinished business with current RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, with their long awaited singles match never happening during Rousey’s initial run.
A Part Time Run Would Be Expected To Follow
If Rousey shows up, we can’t expect a long run – but even if she just shows up between now and Wrestlemania, we will have some fun TV on our hands. Right now, the women’s division on both shows are paper thin – and need any shred of star power that they can get. Ronda Rousey is still a big name, and fans would get excited about her return to the WWE ring.
If she is back full time, that would be even bigger for WWE. Fans got a taste of her potential in that first one year run, and there are still a lot of matches left for Rousey in the WWE ring.
