The Royal family could reportedly promote Kate Middleton, as a way to fill the gap that has been made following the removal of Prince Andrew’s military and charitable titles.
Kate Middleton Could Be Promoted In Light Of Prince Andrew Being Stripped Of His Titles
In the aftermath of the sexual assault allegations that have been put forward against Prince Andrew, the monarchy responded by stripping him of his military and charitable titles as a way to save their reputation.
This was especially in light of the fact that a judge ruled that a trial was needed in order to settle the case.
And following the rise of Kate Middleton’s influence, which had only gone on to increase following the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, there is a feeling that she is in a prime position to take on a more leadership role.
A source said: “From straw polling through the ranks, they would all love it to be Kate. We all admire the way she has fitted in and behaved, she never seems to put a foot wrong.”
It is true to say that Kate does have more appeal with the public than Andrew. After all, she has not been involved in any major high-profile scandals, coupled with the fact that she is the main female figure in the monarchy given that Queen Elizabeth is hardly getting any younger.
The significance of actually giving Kate Prince Andrew’s titles would be historic, especially since Andrew is Queen Elizabeth’s son.
It would firmly indicate that family is certainly not a consideration when it comes to determining whether the monarchy’s best interests are served by any particular individual.
But much more than that, it would also indicate that Kate has been moved into a higher pecking order in comparison to Andrew, despite the fact that she is visibly younger than him.
Given that Prince Charles is next in line to the throne, coupled with the fact that Kate’s husband Prince William has also reportedly been dismayed by Andrew’s behaviour, there is a high chance that Kate could be promoted.
With that in mind, it is a very critical period for the monarchy as such a decision must be taken wisely with full consideration of the consequences.
