Following a year where the WWE released 81 wrestlers, it seems odd to hear they’re interested in signing someone from another company, but it appears Rok-C is one they’re interesting in.
Fightful Select reported that there are people in the WWE pushing to sign ROH (Ring of Honor)’s former Women’s World Champion, and that she was already on the company’s list of possible talent.
It’s believed the interest comes from when Rok-C took part in the WWE’s tryouts in December as she had a good showing.
There have even been reports that some in WWE wanted to sign her before the tryout, so it’s going to be interesting to see how that works out as she’ll have her choice of places to go if she wants to leave ROH.
So much so soon
Rok-C is an awesome talent that’s come so far in such a short period of time. She started training with Booker T at his Reality when she was 16.
She remained there, soaking up every bit of information she could from Booker and everyone around her for the next few years until she joined Ring of Honor in 2021.
Once there, she took part in the tournament for the new ROH Women’s World Champion and won it after some good matches with Sumie Sakai, Quinn McKay, Angelina Love, and finally Miranda Alize to become the inaugural champion
The crowning moment came when she faced Deonna Purrazzo on last week’s IMPACT! in a title for title match.
Their match was awesome and an instant classic. They pulled out all the stops, and it only pushed Rok-C higher into people’s visibility and solidified everyone’s belief in her and what she can do.
It was the perfect way to showcase her ability and we’re excited to see what’s next for her.
Since she showed interest by taking part in the WWE’s tryouts, it seems only a matter of time before she joined the WWE once they offer a contract.
We hope it ends up being everything she hopes it’ll be, and if not, then it’ll be a great learning experience as she moves forward with her career.
One thing is for sure, and that’s any promotion she works with is lucky to have her. The sky’s the limit for her, and it’s going to be fun watching her continue to grow.
