AJ Styles has dealt with a lot of trash talk from Grayson Waller over the past few weeks, and while he’s shown up in the past – tonight promises to be different. Waller has said AJ is weak, and that he will take his spot on the WWE Roster – but will have be saying that when The Phenomenal One shows up at New Years Evil?
Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2022 Is Coming Soon
Before this confrontation, the 2022 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic would be announced. Both Women & Men have tournaments again, with the men’s tournament starting in two weeks – and women’s starting in February. Last year, MSK won the men’s tournament, while Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez won the women’s tournament.
This year, we have the likes of Jacket Time, The Creed Brothers, Grizzled Young Veterans, and Briggs & Jensen ready for the men’s division. The ladies have less teams, meaning that we will have some new teams built in the coming weeks.
AJ Styles vs. Grayson Waller Will Main Event NXT 2.0 Next Week
Styles would hit the ring ready for battle, perhaps wanting to take some steam out on Waller after Omos defeated him last night on Monday Night RAW. He’d appreciate the chants from the crowd, and that’s something that never gets old. Styles has some regrets, and one was jumping NXT when he came to WWE. He got to make his debut at the Royal Rumble, but NXT crowds brought more passion than any other.
Styles is here to defend that passion from the likes of Grayson Waller – who showed up after his name was said three times. Waller would call out Styles for being crushed, before saying he’s a student of the game – and knows why this was. It’s because Waller was on his mind rent free, without Waller even being at RAW. Styles admits that there is some truth to this, and he’s not 100% tonight – so Waller needs to step up and take the chance.
Waller would be too much of a coward to exchange blows with even a hurt Styles. Instead, he’d call out Styles for a main event match next week on NXT 2.0 – which Styles says will be the biggest embarrassment of his career. Styles dodged the cheap strike and sent Waller outside with a punch to the face, before eating a Pele Kick.
