Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and this looks like it’s going to be a fun show as Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins come face to face, and Lita’s returning to Smackdown for the first time in twenty years.
It’s going to be great seeing her back and and in the Rumble.
We’re going to grab some snacks and be back at the 8 p.m. EST showtime to kick off WWE Smackdown Live Results.
Segment 1
Number One Contender Fatal Four Way – Humberto and Angel vs. Cesaro and Mansoor vs. Jinder Mahal and Shanky vs. The Viking Raiders (Erik, Ivar)
Jimmy and Jey introduced the combatants, then superkicked Erik and Mansoor and a brawl started as we headed to commercial.
Segment 2
The action picked up and Shanky and Mahal worked over Erik. Mahal and Cesaro went for a double superplex on Ivar, but Erik powerbombed all three as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
The match ended after a free for all melee with Humberto and Angel gaining the upper hand, but Erik and Ivar responded with the Viking Experience for the win.
Backstage, Sonya Deville told Naomi what annoys her is how Naomi come in with main character vibes while she’s only an extra. Ouch.
Segment 4
Sami Zayn cut a promo about Johnny Knoxville and teased a In-Zayn stunt of jumping the ring in a shopping cart. He backed out, then Rick Boogs, with a haircut, distracted him for Shinsuke Nakamura to hit a Kinsasha.
Boogs then press slammed Zayn out of the ring on the shopping cart’s landing spot in what has to be one of the roughest segments in a while.
Segment 5
Natalya beat Aliyah down before the match and she couldn’t respond to the ref so he called the match. Aliyah begged the ref to restart it and he reversed his decision.
Aliyah rolled Natalya up for a win in a new record of 3.1 seconds. This was just… yeah.
Segment 6
Lita announced she has another run in her and that she’ll win the Rumble and main event WrestleMania.
Charlotte Flair came out and told her she’s going to retired her like she did Trish Stratus. Lita slapped her then hit a Twist of Fate. It’s great to see Lita back.
Segment 7
Ricochet managed to avoid getting into a fight early on, but Sheamus took him out on the apron, then slingshot him into the underside of the ring as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
This was a good back and fourth match Sheamus won by catching Ricochet with a Brogue Kick for the win.
Segment 9
Kofi Kingston vs. Madcap Moss w/Happy Corbin
Kofi Kingston announced that Xavier Woods will miss the Royal Rumble, but he decreed that Kofi should enter in his place.
Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss came out to exchange bad jokes and barbs with Kofi.
The match started fast with Moss driving Kofi to the ropes, but Kofi dumped him to the floor and hit a dive on the pair as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
This was a fun one even if it was quick, and Moss reversed and SOS into a Punchline for the surprise win.
Segment 11
In their face to face, Rollins pointed out that Reigns needed help to get to where he is, and that without Reigns he’s just fine. He told Reigns he created him and he’s the one that can destroy him.
He then ducked an attack from behind by the Usos, ducked out of the ring and ran them into the ring steps, then stepped back in for a final stare down before slipping out untouched.
This was a great segment to close the night, and the final hour was awesome. The first was rougher than it should’ve been.
