Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and tonight’s Royal Rumble Go Home episode should be fun as Seth Rollins delivers a message to Roman Reigns and Naomi finally gets her hands on Sonya Deville.
We’ll be back for the 8 p.m. EST showtime to kick WWE Smackdown Live Results into motion, so grab some snacks and settle in for the ride.
Segment 1
Charlotte Flair started off about what she’ll do in the Royal Rumble, and Shayna Baszler, Aliyah, Natalya, and Shotzi came out to say their peace. Sasha Banks came out in a surprise appearance to a loud pop.
After a brawl erupted, it was just Banks and Flair, and Banks sent her to the floor to send a message for the Rumble.
Segment 2
Sheamus and Ridge Holland vs. Cesaro and Ricochet
Sheamus and Cesaro were a pretty good segment, but Holland looked like he couldn’t see out of Sheamus’ mask ass Ricochet sent him to the floor and his a flip over the top rope as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
This was a good match with something of everything, and Holland scored the pinfall win after hitting a Northern Grit slam on Cesaro following a blind tag in.
Segment 4
They showed a “It’s about the numbers” Royal Rumble promo that was pretty cool as it covered the Rumble’s best moments and some of the records set over the years.
Segment 5
Deville started if off avoiding, Naomi, but then she took the fight to her and controlled most of the floor with her MMA style, hitting an elbow drop slam off he apron to the floor as we headed to commercial.
Segment 6
This was a good match Naomi won with a split legged moonsault, but it’s not the end of the feud as Deville then inserted herself into the Rumble.
Segment 7
In-Zayn was reimaged into a podcast from the ring With Jinder Mahal and Veer as his guests, but Zayn started to lose it when he found out they like Jackass.
Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs came out for their tag match, and Nakamura sent Zayn to the floor with a kick. We’re assuming he’ll be on commentary for the upcoming tag match.
Segment 8
Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs vs. Jinder Mahal and Shanky
This started during the commercial break with Zayn on the commentary team, and he took out Nakamura. Boogs then hulked up when Mahal hammered away on him, and Boogs hit a Boogs Cruise on Shanky for the win.
Segment 9
The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston) vs. Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss
This started off fast, and Kofi went for a crossbody off the top rope to the floor, but Corbin and Moss caught him and threw him face first into the ring post as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
The match was a good one, though it felt too fast and short. The New Day hit a Midnight Hour on Moss for the win.
Segment 11
Seth Rollins wasted no time in getting under Roman Reigns’ skin, and when he mentioned breaking up the Shield Reigns told him he tried to forgive him, but he hates him.
Rollins then called his entire family a joke, then ducked a Superman Punch from behind and danced up the ramp celebrating pushing Reigns’ buttons.
It feels like they’re trying to turn Reigns face and have us feel sorry for him, and we think that’s going to backfire like every other time.
We could be wrong and we’ll have to wait and see. Overall, the show was pretty good, though it felt rushed at times.
What do you think? Let us know in the comments below and thank you for joining WWE Smackdown Live Results.
We had a great time and can’t wait for next week.
See you then!
