Kid Cudi has not been pleased with Kanye West’s decision to remove him from his upcoming ‘Donda 2,’ album.

The news was a shock to say the least, since Kanye had spoken about Kid in a positive manner during parts of his career. But rather than questioning his artistic skills, it seems that this move has been motivated by a personal reason.
It is claimed that because Kid has a friendship with none other than Pete Davidson, Kanye does not want to give anyone connected with Pete any more clout. In a post to his fans on social media, Kanye explained his reasons for removing Kid.
He said: “Just so everyone knows Cudi will not be on Donda because he’s friends with you-know-who. We all speak in Billie language now.” The former comments are very telling for the following reasons.
First of all, it demonstrates that he is cutting ties with anybody connected to Pete. Secondly, the reference to Billie Eilish is seen as a response to the fact that he was offended by her apparent dig at Travis Scott.
During the performance of her concert, Billie stopped it so that a fan could get an inhaler before going on to state that she ‘waits until people are ok.’
That was interpreted as a dig towards Travis by virtue of the fact that he was criticised for not doing enough at the Astroworld concert which killed a reported ten people, as well as injuring many others.
Rather than take those comments, Kid decided to respond in kind and let Kanye know that he was not going to be intimidated by his behavior.
In a statement in response, Kid remarked: “Too bad I don’t wanna be on ur album u f—– dinosaur hahaha. Everyone knows I’ve been the best thing about ur albums since I met u. Ima pray u for [sic] brother.”
If Kanye is going to be cutting ties, then he may end up in a situation where he cannot rely on a strong group of people. And given the personal problems that he has had, this is the last thing that he needs.
