The reality star has made no secret that she is looking to move on, as demonstrated by her romance with Pete Davidson. Despite facing continual social media attacks from her ex, the pair have managed to stay strong in the face of such adversity.
And with a new reality TV show entitled ‘The Kardashians’ on the horizon, Kanye is certainly somebody in the past. And yet, she still has some progression to go before she manages to work out exactly where her future lies.
A source said: “Kim is trying to figure out who Kim is right now. She’s grown a lot since the split. She realizes she can be her own person without him and she’s moved on.”
Whether Pete is somebody that she settles down with on a long-term basis is anyone’s guess. After all, Kanye has openly declared his displeasure in seeing the comedian getting very close to Kim.
And given that such a position is not a good environment for the sake of their children, the last thing that Kim will want to do is see her children being impacted by any feuds.
Kanye had his chance to resolve things in the initial aftermath of their split, and by the looks of it, he failed to grasp that opportunity.
The source added: “Kim thinks Kanye took too long to try to work things out for their family and eventually she had enough and started dating and moved on.”
The one thing that has prevented Kim from fully moving on has been the impasse created by the current divorce proceedings.
There is still the issue of financial matters, coupled with the fact that co-parenting arrangements have to be in place, which has stopped Kim from looking ahead.
But when she manages to resolve those matters, she will be in a much better position to evaluate her future and make a decision over what she wants to do going forward. And this is something that Kanye will be looking to do too.
