A man was reportedly arrested after he entered the home of ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ star Elizabeth Vargas.
RHOC: Swat Team Gets Involved As Elizabeth Vargas’ Ex-Boyfriend Barricaded Himself Inside Her Home
Reports indicate that the incident occurred in California after which the defendant was taken in by the authorities and charged with burglary as well as having a weapon and extortion.
It is claimed SWAT teams had to get involved, as the defendant was barricaded inside the house. And given that reports suggest that the defendant was none other than an ex-boyfriend of Elizabeth’s, it is safe to say that things started to get out of hand very quickly.
In an official statement given by the Newport Beach Police Department, a representative said: “Officers arrived on scene and observed an emergency situation that warranted the immediate evacuation of the victim from the residence.
“Once inside the residence, police officers encountered an armed male suspect who was actively threatening the life of the victim.” Thankfully, for everyone involved, there were no injuries sustained in the incident.
And yet, this incident only goes on to highlight the worrying trend that has been going around recently. It was only last year that another member of the Real Housewives franchise, Dorit Kemsley, had also been targeted through a burglary.
And things had gotten so out of hand that Dorit had apparently begged for her life, given that her children were also present in the house. Although nothing like this may have happened to Elizabeth, on any other given day, who knows what could have happened.
And this was the sentiment that was being expressed on social media, as her fans came out in droves to make sure that she was fine.
One person wrote: “I’m VERY HAPPY that she wasn’t hurt. That’s a scary situation to be in. I’m SOOO HAPPY that they got the guy.”
The only thing left to do is let the authorities investigate the incident fully, so that something like this can be prevented from happening again.
After all, Elizabeth Vargas could not have had a worse start to the New Year, especially given what the world has been through with the difficulties caused by the pandemic.
