Former ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ star Bethenny Frankel has praised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for his courage in the face of Russian aggression.

Reports indicate that the President was offered the opportunity to be evacuated from the country, which he turned down on the basis that he wanted to stay and protect his country.
That won him the plaudits of many people around the world, especially since he had a lot to lose. By leaving the country, it would be a sign of weakness. But by staying there, he could equally risk his own life.
And that is why Bettheny felt that he should be singled out for praise. In an official statement, she said: “He just seems like he’s not giving up, and it’s an interesting thing to watch.
“It’s inspiring because he’s leading by example and people are fighting. If he weren’t fighting for his own country no one else would want to be doing that, so it’s amazing.”
Much in the same way, Bethenny is doing her bit in order to make sure that she can help those in need. She has reportedly agreed to send up to $20 million worth of aid to those most affected by the crisis.
And in the process of doing so, she has set up her own team which has already made its way to Poland. In a statement about her intentions, she stated: “We will meet what’s mostly mothers and children and relocate them.
“So, get them on a train or plane and relocate them to friends or family — someplace that’s a safe haven — and give them really basic survival needs for now.”
The response on social media for the Ukrainian President was full of praise. People were of the view that he had broken the mould of a president, as it showed somebody who was willing to put his life on the line.
One person wrote: “True hero like all Ukrainians. Great respect.” Regardless of what you think about the current conflict, there is no denying that it has to be put to an end as soon as possible to prevent further loss of life.
