Pete Davidson’s decision to leave instagram once again was not influenced by the antics of Kanye ‘Ye’ West.
Sources Deny Claims That Pete Davidson Left Instagram Because Of Kanye West
The rapper has publicly slated the comedian which included a series of verbal outbursts on social media to the point where he even referred to Pete as ‘Skete.’
Although it is no secret that Pete has struggled with the negative consequences of social media in the past, which has impacted his mental health, fans believed that his decision to leave could have been influenced by Kanye.
And yet, sources deny this being the case. A source said: “Pete deleted his IG because immediately after his first post he started receiving a flood of messages, both positive and negative, reminding him why he didn’t want social media to begin with.”
The news will have disappointed the fans, given that he had reportedly only been on the platform for a week before he made the decision to leave again.
However, he has a series of projects in the pipeline that will no doubt get the fans on board. He is currently working on three movies, which should come out this year, and that is what his focus has been on.
The source added: “[Pete] is in the middle of several big film projects and wants to continue to stay very focused on his work and the positive things happening in his life.”
Despite what the sources have to say, the fans on social media were not convinced. They were of the view that Pete’s departure could only be explained by the fact that Kanye had decided to follow him on his account.
Therefore, rather than creating a public spectacle by unfollowing the rapper, Pete may have felt it would have been a better move by deactivating his account.
One person wrote: “Kanye needs help, he is going to do some bad things to him and kim.. He’s crazy.” If Pete leaving social media gives the public a break from Kanye’s antics, then that will be welcomed indeed.
But on the flip side, it potentially shows that the rapper’s comments are taking a toll on the comedian. Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
