Two days after meeting with his mother Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles has tested positive for Covid. A message on his official Twitter page read: “This morning the Prince of Wales has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now self-isolating.”
Price Charles In Isolation After Testing Positive For Covid-19
The 73-year old Prince Charles who is the heir to the throne must self-isolate for up to ten complete days before he can physically come in contact with anyone again. However, he can still make a public appearance before the expiry of the ten days if he returns a negative covid test result after the first five days of isolation.
Tensions Rise In Royal Family As Prince Charles Returns Positive Covid Result
This is the second time Prince Charles is testing positive for coronavirus after his first case in March 2020 and for now, medical insiders close to the Prince of Wales have confirmed that he remains in good condition. Many people within the royal family are more worried that he can endanger Queen Elizabeth after coming in close contact with the 95-year old monarch a few days ago.
The longest-serving monarch in British history met with Prince Charles on Tuesday at Windsor Castle after spending most of her time between Sunday and Monday at Sandringham estate in Norfolk to host some well-wishers from the Sandringham community.
According to a source inside Buckingham Palace, the Queen will now have to undergo several tests that must return negative results before she can make any public appearance. Moreover, another insider inside Buckingham Palace has assured everyone that “the situation will be closely monitored.”
Despite the 95-year old monarch receiving her first vaccine shot in January 2021, second shot in March, and the last shot in October, Queen Elizabeth’s covid scare is necessary after she suffered several life-threatening illnesses last year.
For now, Queen Elizabeth is understood to be “feeling much better” recently after regaining her health stability. February 5th made it 70 years since Queen Elizabeth ascended the throne after the death of her father. However, the monarch has said she will never abdicate the throne for her eldest son Prince Charles.
