Recently, we’ve seen a new side of FTR emerge on AEW Dynamite. They’ve kicked Tully Blanchard to the curb as he tried to take their focus away from the AEW World Tag Team Championships, and could even be done dealing with MJF. Dax Harwood showed his singles skills once again in a great showing against CM Punk, before FTR got a tag team win over the #1 ranked Gunn Club. However, they’re on the lookout for a new manager – and are hoping to bring Bret Hart into AEW.
Dax Harwood Would Be Emotional Every Night If He Got To Work Alongside Bret Hart
While on the Two Man Powertrip podcast alongside his tag team partner Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood would describe just what having Bret Hart as a manager would mean for FTR. Harwood would say the following.
“But as far as Bret Hart managing us, of course, that would be a dream. It would be a dream for me just to have him be there and share his knowledge, in ring and outside the ring, knowledge with us. I don’t know if I could hold my emotions back every single night. I might cry every single night if he was there.”
AEW Has A Good Track Record Of Doing Right By Legends Of The Industry
Bret Hart has previously appeared on AEW programming, having shown up to present the AEW World Heavyweight Championship to the fans for the first time. He was interrupted by MJF, who ripped into the legend with a promo.
AEW has done well in how they present legends of the industry, with the likes of Chris Jericho, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, William Regal, and Sting all getting consistent TV time. Sting has been able to reignite his wrestling career in AEW, but we could not expect the same thing to happen for Bret Hart given his physical condition if he shows up.
Currently, Bret Hart has not shown up in WWE since 2019 – indicating that he might not be on a legends deal as most might assume.
