Ever since making her debut, AEW fans have always found something to complain about with Jade Cargill. Be it her looks, in-ring skills, or promo skills – fans have been highly critical of the rising star. Despite this, AEW has committed to trying to make Cargill a star – and her winning the TBS Championship showed she is going nowhere.
Despite this, fans have been insistent that WWE would have been a better fit for Cargill. She would finally comment on this – and has made it clear that she will not be leaving AEW anytime soon.
Jade Cargill Likes Where She Is At In The Industry
While speaking with Complex Unsanctioned, Jade Cargill would get asked about her thoughts on fans feeling she’d fit better in WWE. Cargill had the following to say.
“I’m indifferent about it. I think AEW, we have more hardcore wrestling fans and I think WWE is more of the glitz and glamor, which I love that.
Obviously, I’m about the glitz and glamor and I could see how that would be an easier pill to swallow for fans than for me to be at such a hardcore wrestling base like AEW.
But I like where I’m at. I made a choice, I stuck with my choice and I would never, ever, ever, ever get the debut that I got here at AEW if I had gone to WWE. Like, I would never.”
Who Will Be Her 30th Opponent In AEW?
Right now, Jade Cargill is sitting pretty at a record of 29-0 in AEW. Her 30th match and next defence of the TBS Championship is something AEW is building a lot of hype for. There’s been some back and forth between Cargill and Athena – previously known as Ember Moon in WWE – which has fans thinking that could be her next challenger.
Other potential opponents have been noted as Toni Storm, or Britt Baker. Storm is expected to debut on AEW Dynamite later this week, while Baker needs to rebound from her loss of the AEW World Women’s Championship.
