Prince Harry has been warned about mentioning Duchess Camilla in his upcoming memoir set to be released this year.
Prince Harry Warned About Mentioning Duchess Camilla In His Upcoming Memoir-‘To Discredit Her In Some Way May Have A Negative Effect’
This is according to Royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti. Jonathan’s view is based on the fact that the couple are not very popular in the UK.
And given that Queen Elizabeth II has already given her blessing for Camilla to be recognised as a Queen consort, the last thing that the Royal family will want to see is a potential attack on Duchess Camilla.
In an interview, he said: “I…think it might also have the opposite effect in that Harry and Meghan are increasingly unpopular in the UK because of their activities and statements.
“So, for them to discredit her in some way may have a negative effect on their intentions and a positive effect on her among the British public.”
While there is a realistic possibility of that outcome, there is no denying that Harry does not have the best of relationships with the Duchess. This is for the following reasons.
First of all, there has always been disapproval towards her behaviour by virtue of the fact that Camilla did cheat with Prince Charles, while he was still with his late mother Princess Diana.
Secondly, reports also indicate that Camilla was not a huge fan of Meghan Markle when she joined the Royal family.
She had reportedly struggled to reconcile the fact that someone could seamlessly fit into the Royal family without having had high-profile exposure before. This is why Jonathan still believes that the memoir could be scathing.
He stated: “It might dent her reputation, depending on what he says, if there are things in there that people don’t like about how she’s behaved.
“I think Harry revealing negative thoughts and opinions about Camilla may well actually help the British public accept her.”
Time will tell ultimately what Harry decides to disclose, but given that he is no longer under the constraints of the Royal family, fans can expect to see a full and frank disclosure. With that being said, the memoir cannot come soon enough.
