WWE NXT 2.0 Results: Dominik Mysterio Wins NXT Debut Match, Dolph Ziggler Defeats LA Knight To Retain The NXT Championship (03/15)

Earlier in the night, Rey & Dominik Mysterio would bump into Legado Del Fantasma. After LDF called Dominik an embarrassment, he’d call out one of them to hit the ring against him tonight. Raul Mendoza would accept the challenge.

Dominik Mysterio Wins NXT Debut Match

Mysterio would kick off fast with a sunset flip for a one count, before dodging the kick of Mendoza. Mendoza would get caught with an arm drag from Mysterio, before being rocked by a dropkick. Mysterio got too fancy on the ropes, and was tripped up by Mendoza.

A sloppy headscissor would do enough to send Mendoza into the corner, before Elektra Lopez ran a distraction. Fallon Henley would attack Lopez, and was backed up by Briggs & Jensen! Santos Escobar was dropped by Rey Mysterio, while in the ring a 619 and Frog Splash got the win for Dominik Mysterio.

    Who Attacked The Creed Brothers?

The Creed Brothers would rush the ring, and say that last week – they got blindsided before they could win the NXT Tag team Championships. Whoever did it better step up or bodies will keep getting thrown. MSK would come out rocking some nWo shirts.

They didn’t attack The Creed Brothers, but The Creed Brothers did attack them when MSK stepped up to give the fans a title match – and that was a mistake. Finally, Imperium would stand above the ring and offer a Triple Threat match for NXT: Stand & Deliver.

Dolph Ziggler Defends His NXT Championship

To kick off tonight’s episode of NXT 2.0 – we had a Tuesday Night edition of Miz TV. Dolph Ziggler was confronted by LA Knight, who called out our new NXT Champion for a title match. After matching the champ on the microphone, he’d get himself a main event clash – with another chance to become the NXT Champion!

Ziggler would quickly drive Knight to the ropes, before taking him down into the middle of the ring with a side headlock. Knight fought his way free, and nailed a big neckbreaker for a two count. Ziggler was sent out to the floor, and Knight followed before being driven into the apron.

Still feeling the effects of last weeks Last Man Standing match, Knight was a step slow after having those ribs attacked. Ziggler would focus his attack, nailing a dropkick to the ribs. Knight would block the Fameasser before hitting a powerbomb.

Now with a second wind, Knight would nail a powerslam – before the running elbow drop for a two count. Bron Breakker would storm the arena with this main event on-going. Knight would catch Ziggler with a massive superplex, but only got a two count.

Ziggler would take a Burning Hammer from Knight, but was able to get his foot on the bottom rope. BFT was blocked, but so was the Zig Zag. Knight was run into the corner, and dropped with the Superkick for the finish.

After the bell, Bron Breakker hit the ring with a single thing in mind – setting up the rematch with Ziggler at Stand & Deliver. Ziggler accepted, and we have a main event

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
